Ask for information you can use
Keep fields connected to the next business step. Explain required information clearly and avoid requesting passwords, payment details, or sensitive personal information through a general inquiry form.
Validate on the server as well
Browser validation improves usability but does not protect a public endpoint by itself. Your development scope should include server-side checks, reasonable limits, and appropriate access controls.
Be honest about the delivery state
A button click is not proof that an inquiry was received. Confirm success only after the receiving system accepts the submission, and preserve entered information when a recoverable failure occurs.
Test the route to your team
Before launch, verify the actual database record, notification, and business follow-up process. Keep a direct email or booking option available so customers have another way to contact you.
