List the roles your platform needs: learners, instructors, administrators, or institutional staff. Describe the actions each role can perform and what information it should be able to access.
Map the learning journey
Plan enrollment, course discovery, lesson access, progress, assessments, and completion. Decide which elements are essential for launch and which can wait for a later phase.
Prepare the content workflow
Explain who creates courses, updates lessons, and manages media. Agree on supported content types, review responsibilities, and how existing material will be organized or migrated.
Plan support and ownership
Clarify hosting, account support, maintenance, content ownership, and the people responsible for keeping the learning experience current. Test the important learner and instructor tasks before release.
